About me
I'm Liz Riley, owner of Mrs. Sparkles Designs in Mountain View, CA. I design crochet patterns, provide crochet pattern testing and technical editing services. I like to get hands on and craft things. I sell my handmade dolls, toys, jewelry and home decor.
Prior to focusing on crochet, I was a User Experience (UX) design manager with over 10 years of experience working both in-house and as a design consultant for both commercial and federal clients. At TiVo I managed the TV design team. In my consulting days I designed a wide variety of websites and applications ranging from an ivy league university library website to data analytic tools for the Navy.
I graduated Cum Laude from Virginia Tech with a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Design and a minor in Psychology. I am an obsessive puzzle player (obligatory plug for my husband's awesome game Pixelogic) and love playing German style board games (if you want to play Settlers of Catan or Power Grid with me, let me know).
